About Urška Košir
Urška Košir (40, Slovenia, Europe) is a successful visual artist, known internationally for her series of commercial portraits and sensual erotic photography.
Her pictures have been used on covers of magazines and enriching the content of both print and online media since 2006. She has studied law, finished her studies with an excellent mark in 2008 but either way decided to switch to media and images.
She has been commercially cooperating with many renowned brands, as well as with numerous public and private clients. In 2010, she has started to cooperate with Playboy magazine as Playboy photographer and later photo editor. In 2015 she was the first and only female photographer in Slovenia to create a series of erotic photographs for the Collegium Graphicum calendar, which has become known as the Slovenian Pirelli since its first edition in 2002.
Urska's works were a part of international art exhibitions in Germany, Austria and Holland. In 2018 she was invited by organizers of the biggest annual world photo salon to become a jury member at Trierenberg super circuit, in Linz, Austria. After the successful cooperation, the invitation got repeated in 2021 and 2022 but was annuled due to corona reasons.
Urška has throughout the years authored many solo and joined group exhibitions and art projects in her homeland and abroad. In 2018 she opened the photo and video Studio Zelezna that is a marvelous place just on brink of the center of Ljubljana. Throught the years it has grown into creative space and hosted many workshops with international photographers, creative events, educational events like TedEx and many infamous photo and video shoots.
